Running a Meeting Introduction
Back to: Working Together Utilising Microsoft Teams – LIVE for Individuals
The last section was all about attending a meeting and we learned about all the pieces that are on the screen and what you’ll experience when you are just turning up to a meeting. In this section, you are the organizer and we’ve got to learn how to set up all of those pieces.
How do you invite people? How do you schedule a time for a meeting? How do you let them in through the lobby? How do you share your screen? What about presenting with a PowerPoint slideshow? What about recording your meeting, setting up a quiz, breakout rooms, transcripts, so much for me to go through with you, lots in there.
But first up, we’re going to talk about the art of hosting an effective meeting – an effective online meeting. We are specifically talking about just all the pieces involved in there, I’m looking forward to that one with you. And I do have a handout for you for this section, it’ll help you when you’re planning a meeting.
It might be for a specific meeting, and you want to make sure that you get all the things right, that you don’t forget any of the pieces in setting it up and preparing and practicing for your meeting. But it also might be a reminder for regular meetings that you set up, on a weekly or on a monthly basis, just to remind you to hit record, so it happens automatically, or to invite this person or turn this feature on and set up breakout rooms beforehand, those sort of things. So, I’m looking forward to getting into this section with you.
