Welcome
Back to: Attend & Host Teams Meetings Well – LIVE with your Team
Hi, and welcome to “Attend and Host Teams Meetings Well”. It’s so good to have you on board to learn all things about Teams meetings.
The first section starts off from the perspective of simply attending a meeting. You are just along for the ride – you are not running the meeting. Honestly, you shouldn’t have to sit on a course to attend it, but I believe that you are here because you want to excel at this virtual meeting thing, rather than just winging it and crossing your fingers.
We are making sure you’ve mastered the art of the camera shot, and what is behind you in your lighting, your audio – even more important, and the art of being on a meeting on your computer, transferring to your phone, and then transferring to your car audio while continuing on the same meeting – and doing it like a pro.
In the second section, we progress to running the meeting. How do you make all of that magic happen so it looks effortless? The secret is all in practice. It’s not that difficult to invite people and run a Teams meeting, but let’s be more aware of the tools at your fingertips so you can actually change up your virtual meetings and make them so much more effective. It’s not just about the gimmicky tools that they can be fun, but it’s being aware of what is out there.
My heart is to get teams to work better together – and not just while they’re on a Teams meeting. The two sections from this course are straight out of a larger course that covers a lot more tools to help your team work better together. “Working Together utilizing Microsoft Teams” is the name of the course. If you’ve already done that course, then that means you’ve already done this course! So send me an email and I’ll organize a refund for you! If you’d like to upgrade to the larger course, even after you’ve finished these two sections, then send me an email and I’ll work out the cost difference and a deal for you.
I do try to keep all of the lessons around the seven minute mark and definitely under 10 minutes. The idea is that it’s easy to grab a cup of tea or a cup of coffee, sit down, do a lesson, and slowly work through the whole course.
However, some of the lessons have just so much in them, so there’s a few that are a bit over 10 minutes. Sorry about that!
Please feel free to speed up the lessons or slow them down to a pace that works best for you to learn.
Let’s get into it.
